    CASA of Caroline is committed to making our website accessible to the widest possible audience, including people with disabilities.

    We are designing and testing this website with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 in mind. Our baseline goal is Level AA conformance, with enhanced accessibility practices, including AAA-level color contrast for normal text where practical.

    Our Accessibility Efforts

    Accessibility is considered throughout the design, development, and maintenance of this website. Measures include:

    • sufficient color contrast for text and interactive elements;
    • keyboard-accessible navigation and controls;
    • visible focus indicators;
    • logical heading and page structure;
    • semantic landmarks and navigation regions;
    • descriptive link and button labels;
    • alternative text or appropriate decorative treatment for images;

    • ongoing accessibility testing as the website is updated.

    Automated accessibility testing is used as one part of our review process. Because automated tools cannot identify every accessibility issue, accessibility also requires manual review and ongoing attention.

    Some functions on this website are provided through third-party services that CASA of Caroline does not fully control. These may include services used for donations, volunteer applications, forms, legal policies, or other external tools.

    We work to select and implement third-party services in an accessible way whenever possible. However, accessibility limitations within those services may be outside our direct control.
