Kathleen was born and raised in upstate New York and is grateful to once again call a small-town community home. She enjoys reading, vintage treasures, classic music, and spending time with her Maltipoo, Buttercup.

Kathleen began her career as an English and Reading teacher before expanding her professional experience to include roles as a Paralegal, Project Manager, and Copywriter. Throughout her career, she has remained deeply committed to service. Her personal mantra centers on educating, inspiring, empowering, and advocating for individuals who need support.

Her passion for service was shaped early in life by watching her parents care for family members. More recently, caring for her husband over the past year further deepened her commitment to helping others navigate difficult seasons. Kathleen is especially dedicated to supporting older adults who wish to age in place and to advocating for children who have experienced trauma.

She is actively involved in the community as a member of Tidewater Rotary of Easton, the Easton Alzheimer’s Walk Committee, Auxiliary of the Easton VFW Post 5118, Talbot County Commission on Aging, the Maryland Gerontological Association, and the Talbot County Women’s Club. Kathleen also enjoys teaching occasional classes and workshops through Chesapeake Forum.

As Executive Director of CASA of Caroline, Kathleen is honored to help children and families move toward healing and stability. This role brings her full circle allowing her to help others reach the other side of trauma, just as she was once supported while honoring the memory of her late husband, who was also a survivor of childhood trauma.

Regina Teat retired from education after 33 years in Dorchester County Public Schools. During her career, she taught both second and third grades before becoming a Reading Specialist. She then moved into administration, serving as an Assistant Principal, then Principal at Hurlock Elementary School. After serving as Principal, her favorite job as an educator, she moved to the district level, serving as Elementary Supervisor before finishing her career as Director of Leadership and School Improvement. After retiring, she became a CASA Volunteer with CASA of Caroline. She now serves as the CASA Advocate Supervisor.

Regina lives in Harmony, MD with her husband and their dog, Greta! They have two grown children and two grandsons that are the “joys” of her life. Her retirement priorities include being there for family, time with great friends, traveling and continuing to make a difference in the lives of children!

Christine Collison serves as Bookkeeper for CASA of Caroline. She brings more than 30 years of accounting experience, including service as CFO/Deputy Director for a nonprofit housing developer and financial management work for several Eastern Shore nonprofits. She joined CASA of Caroline in April 2020 and supports the organization’s financial operations.
