    Volunteer Requirements & Process

    Before you apply, take a few minutes to review the eligibility requirements, application process, training, and time commitment for CASA of Caroline volunteers.

    Eligibility requirements

    • Be at least 21 years old.
    • Have no criminal conviction.

    What the application process looks like

    The process includes:

    1. Submit an application and provide references.
    2. Complete an initial screening interview.
    3. Complete a background check.
    4. Complete 30 hours of pre-service training.

    Time commitment

    Volunteers commit 10–15 hours per month for at least one year or until their assigned case closes.

    Volunteers also complete 12 hours of continuing education each year.
